Imagine life as the greatest video game ever created.
It’s vast, complex, beautiful and brutally hard. Some levels are peaceful. Others are full of enemies, traps, and heartbreak. You don’t get to pick the terrain. You just wake up in the middle of the game with no memory of what came before, holding a controller you didn’t ask for, and a vague sense that something bigger is going on.
And just like in a video game, you start to sense there’s a purpose. A mission. A way to “win”even if nobody really tells you what that means.
But here’s the twist: You’re not the main character.
You’re a beloved part of the story, yes, but the main character is Jesus. He already beat the final boss. He already conquered death. Now, He offers you a chance to play alongside Him, not to earn your way into victory, but to share in the victory He already won.
That’s the Gospel.
It’s not about grinding hard enough to unlock heaven. It’s about accepting the ultimate co-op invite from the King Himself.
Jesus didn’t stay up in the sky like some cosmic game designer. He loaded Himself into the game—into our pain, our chaos, our brokenness. He lived it. He died in it. And then He did what no one else could: He rose. He broke the game wide open.
Now He hands you the controller and says:
“Follow me. I’ll show you how to play this right.”
Not with cheat codes. Not by skipping levels. But by playing with love, with courage, with faith. With grace.
Because there is an enemy. There is a war. There are false quests everywhere—fame, fortune, revenge, escape. They promise meaning, but leave you empty.
But when you walk with the true King, every side quest has purpose. Every storm becomes part of your training arc. Even death is just a transition to the next stage.
And here’s the best part:
He’s already won.
You’re not fighting for victory. You’re fighting from victory.
So stop living like you’re a disposable NPC.
You were handcrafted by the Creator, chosen for a purpose, and invited into the greatest story ever told.
It’s time to pick up your cross.
Time to walk with the Savior.
Time to press Start.
